Hello all there is a feather duster looking thing growing in my zoa frag.should I be worries .I'll post pic below
Just noticed it 2day after turning the zoa frag also saw a hole dunno if that's zoa melting or from the frag from before

Seems to be as you say a feather duster. Not hatful but may irritate the Zoa near it from opening.
 
Yeah, looks like a small variety of feather duster I had. I think doing a run of Flatworm Exit killed mine though...
 
I was reading up and there is a thing called hydroid I think they irritate zoas. How can I tell if it's a hydroid or feather duster?
 
The calcified tube that its in is the biggest identifier, the V pattern of the feeder tentacles too make me think its a feather duster.

Don’t worry about it, got a big ol feather duster in the middle of my zoa frag, they usually don’t mind it, and in most cases will grow around it.
