Please help me identify what this is growing on my rock and sand and suggest any solutions to get rid of it.

looks like cyano to me. Green first pic and red or black second pic.

Looks like Dino's to me, I have read that there are 1000's of different types and Cyano is a type. Dose some hydrogen peroxide for a few days and it should go away.

How much do I dose? Never heard of that before? I've been lucky and I think this is the first time in my 7 years of reefing that I've ever had Dino's or cyano

I turned off my lights for a couple of days added some more cuc and added some extra carbon.

1ml per 10g of water volume

Thanks. Just read up on it and looks like a lot of people have had success with it. I just dosed 20ml in my tank. 220 w/ ~40gal sump minus ~40gal for rock & equipment. I'll dose a bit more tomorrow.

When I turned off my lights for a week, the tank looks crystal clean. I was able to do that while I was in a fallow period from ich. I'm planning to buy some cucumbers next week on my LADD order. Did you just get the tiger striped sea cucumbers?

Yeah I have been dosing 15ml in my 160g total water volume and it works well but for some reason the stuff on my sand is being a bit more resistant.
