Identify Two Visitors?

Couldn't get very good pix, but here they are:

First one looks like a small mound of poop with a single, bent tube-like thing sticking out. Don't see much of anything on the end of the tube.

Second one (really crummy photo) is a plant-like "bulb" with a single "hair" sticking out (I think it's sitting next to a bit of gha, but maybe that's part of it).

Hoping someone might have a clue in spite of my poor photography?

Do I need to pull these suckers out?

Look like to me.

Removed the vermetid snail (assuming that's what it was).

The other thing? On very close inspection: just a bit of hair algae attached to a small piece of sand that looked like a bulb.
