hello , wondering if anyone can help me I'd this growing on my live rock, noticed it today. Haven't added anything lately but an anemone .

Looks like a pale paly.

I noticed that one and then there are tiny ones growing next to it . Maybe another 3 or 4. Extremely small.

He was referring to pathythoa it's similar to zoanthid but differs in encrusting procedure and a few other ways. What you have my friend looks more like aptasia. It's a nuisance anemone a spreads like crazy peppermint shrimp will handle that problem.

I already have 3 shrimp ; 2 cleaner and a fire shrimp , so add a peppermint now? I was hoping it was.not aptasia. When I took picture with flash it closed up a bit.

Does boiling water work ?

Like boiling the rock? Peppermint shrimp are like 7$. Don't boil the rock.

The top pic in the two pic post looks nothing like aptasia. not posative but pretty sure its not.

I hope it's not aptasia , I treated with aptasia x already . It had a bunch of smaller ones growing next to it. Some you could barely see.
