Identity my stow away...

Can anyone identify the Stowe away that must have come in on my live rock?? I'm guessing some sort of star fish?

I had a hard time getting the pic as the lights are off in the tank.

Asterina starfish. Personally, I remove them others don't. They have the ability to multiple pretty quick in some systems

It's an asterina star. Pretty reef safe for the most part

Like already stated, they are Asterina starfish. They multiply by dropping legs which grow into new starfish which allows them to reproduce very quickly. Most are reef safe, some aren't.

Get it out...i hate these things...they multiply like crazy as stated but never fails every time i see a zoa polyp closed up ..BAM Theres one those little jerks covering it....i take them out and give them to my daughter where they belong away from my tank

Thanks! I think I'm going to have to leave him for now as I have no clue where he went... I've got stow always everywhere!

Harlequin shrimp will devour them.

I love them. Cleans up detritus when i have them, never had a predatory one.
