So I have a 40 breeder a big canister filter a sponge filter 4 corals a cleaning shrimp a fire shrimp 2 turbo snails 2 hermit crabs 2 clowns a star but my tank is getting worse and worse idk what to do it's about 3 months old and the diatoms came and left now I'm getting a bunch of green hair algae and a bunch of diatoms again it's got my tank so bad these past few weeks all my levels are good idk why it's doing this what should I do

Also I blacked out my tank for 3 days it went away and within a day or 2 it drastically came back

And I test my tank with salifert testera

Well, I’ll leave the diatoms and algae to others who will want you to list your specific parameters (Cal, Alk, Mag, Nitrates, Phosphates, etc.), but your starfish is a chocolate chip starfish and not reef safe (they eat corals), so if you’re seeing issues with your corals you have a prime suspect there.

Sounds about right for a 3 month old tank... Let things run their course.
