If you had a choice, which one would you choose?!

What other items of value come with each tank? What you don't use you can sell to upgrade the equipment. I have had a number of display tanks over the years, 55 gal, 90 gal, 125 gal, 180 gal and my current tank is 250 gal. Thought about how I would like to go even larger 350-500 gallon but then I have to remember it takes bigger pumps or more of them, bigger sump, bigger skimmer, more lighting more rocks, more heaters, more cooling, more coral and fish and more water and salt, more electricity and more time. Don't forget if you have a crash even that is bigger, but knock on glass I have never had a total system crash. The larger the tank the more time and work it is when you move especially out of state but only a couple of miles is no big deal.

So after looking over the tank at the owners house I didn't purchase it because the bottom of the tank left me uneasy. Well another opportunity arose to purchase another tank. Except this time it's a 210 gallon tank. It use to be rimless but the owner now has it eurobraced. Am I getting way over my head? Upgrading from a Red Sea Reefer 250. The tank package I may purchase will include a Vertex Alpha 250 and a Super Reef Octopus CR3000D calcium reactor with a carbon doser electronic regulator from aquariumplants.com.

180. Redsea is over rated imo.

Well the 180 is out of the question. I created another thread about the bottom of the tank. Basically it's made up of 3 panes of glass side by side. I've never seen it before.

Now it's between the Reefer 425xl or a 210G tank.

Why not a new 160 or 180? Is the 210 used?
210 enters you into a whole new category of livestock !

I would buy new but these tank prices are too good to pass up. The 210 is used also. He's willing to let it all go for under $1500..

Well the thing is my lease isn't up until May 2018:eek: So keeping it empty that long will kill me! But I already know how much of a pain it is to move a tank. It isn't fun at all. The Reefer would be much easier when the time comes to move. That is what's making me second guess myself!

Thanks everyone so far for the replies! The 180 is definitely the one I'm leaning towards but I just want to make sure I make the right choice.

Just want to throw it out there that I've moved my 180 twice, along with my many other (slightly smaller) aquariums, as my family moves frequently. moving isn't as bad as everyone makes it out to be!! (;

Thanks for the advice! Makes me feel a little better about moving!

210 then! The amount if live stock you can have... I am jealous!

I just saw what you said about the 180 not working out for you.

Lol heck, you can have my 180 I'm tearing down (for good this time) due to college reasons for $400 [emoji23] granted, it's nothing fancy/ could use a little cleaning up.

But also, a 210 would be awesome! That's just a whole new level of tank right there!!
