I recently got a dymax ph1200 pump to make WCs easier for me. However, I still need some tubing so the pump can move water from the bucket to the tank.

A friend of mine uses 16x22 mm tubing for the exact same pump. I found in my LFS a hose that is 16x21.2 mm, would this hose work fine or does it need to be 16x22 mm exactly? Thanks

the second number is outside diameter. So unless the ouside diameter needs to fit in som special holder it shouldn't matter. The inside diameter is what needs to fit the nozzle on your equipment.

What I have done more times than I can count is to take the part with me to the hardware store.

IMHO, slightly smaller than what you think is the best choice. Submerge the tubing in some boiling water for a couple minutes to soften it up, slide it over the fitting, and then run it under some cold water to shrink it. In most cases, you won't need any sort of clamp to hold it in place.

HTH!

it needs to be good and snug. That's why I use slightly undersized tubing and boiling water to soften it up.

+1. I do the same thing.
