Hi everyone,

I’m planning on adding some Ignitus Anthias to my well-stocked tank 220G. These are my last additions. I’m considering getting between 3-6 of them. Any advice on how many would be ideal for them to feel comfortable? How are Ignitus for fighting eachother?

The tank is fairly roudy with large tangs, wondering if they feel better in a small group

Thanks!

It is hit or miss on these. My tangs were fine with them, but now after a couple years they chase any new fish down.

I have a group of 6. 2 are males yes I said 2 males the dominate male is way more colorful but the pecking order is unchanged. They all get along and even sleep together in the same cave. They are a lot less maintenance than other Anthias as they do not need to be feed 4 times plus a day as others. I have had the same 6 with no losses for now over 3 years.

I would do 6. The larger number disperses aggression on any one individual anthias. My lyretails did better in a group of 6. I currently have 3 bartlets and will need to add another 3. I find that in a larger number they stay in a group together rather than bein scattered.
