Is there any redness in or near the wound? Any other symptoms, eating? Did you get it that way or the markings appeared over time?

been in QT for only 48hrs, came in with marks.
wrasse is eating and active. spent the night in his sand bowl
The marks are sunken below the flesh next to them, but no red marks or open skin. they don't seem slimy or fuzzy

Looks like damage, I’d pay attention and make sure redness doesn’t develop. I’d buy kanaplex, metroplex, and furan 2 to treat for possible infection. If it worsens marginally, assume infection.

do any of the meds listed have special instructions for wrasse? or clown gobys?
fish in QT
corris wrasse (who has the odd marks)
fairy wrasse
yellow clown goby
(all 3 we're in the same system at the LFS, and on my lists between my 2 displays)

Are you just observing, or treating preventatively? If using copper, IME wrasse are very copper sensitive. Very small doses of copper as many times a day as possible (2-3) that fit your schedule will be helpful. Also spend 5-7 days reaching therapudic levels. I don't have much experience with gobies.

I have metro and furan 2 on hand, I'll try to find the kanaplex.
it looks less pronounced today, but he's still got 28 days in QT no matter what for observation

I get Kanaplex off Amazon prime. 2 day free shipping

just observing at this point. wrasse tend to be sensitive across the board, from what I've been reading. I'm giving them all at least 5 days, preferably longer, to get acclimated to the new souroundings, before any preventative meds. if anything changes I'll begin medicating immediately, but I'm trying to limit stress with such shy fish.

Scraped patch seems to be healing.
At this point I'm using TTM to prevent ich, and doing 2 prasipro treatments with metroplex in between. Anyone have a suggestion? tips?
