hi guys, any of you use the led light illumagic? Which product do you use? are they good for raising acropora? do you know which LEDs they use? cree epistar or other?

The Blaze Xmini contains 2 clusters of LEDs. Each cluster features 12 LEDs in 7 spectrums. Wattage per cluster is 25 watts, for a total of 50 watts on this pendant! The spectrums are grouped together on 3 channels, which provide control, functionality and simplicity. Adjust color & intensity in an easy to use app.

INCLUDES 2 MOUNTING ARMS - Works up up to 3/4" glass.

Channel A: Ultra White, Ultra Red & Cyan for optimal coral growth.
Channel B: Blue 470nm and Royal Blue 450nm makes the colors of your corals really pop.
Channel C: Violet 420nm and Near UV 400nm for enhanced coral growth.

2x25W LED Clusters Featuring 7 LED Spectrums
Full-Spectrum Output, Ranging from 400nm to 700nm
3 Color Channels
Fully Adjustable Color and Intensity
Bluetooth Control Using the Android or iOS App*
Real-time Clock
Modular LED Clusters, Lens, Driver Assembly & Fan

Blaze X Series Optics
The Xmini comes with 75-degree high transmittance silicone lenses, which provide the perfect color mixing without the "disco ball" effect. The lenses can be removed to increase the light spread to 120 degrees.

Blaze X Series Modular Design
The LED clusters, lens, driver & fan can be easily removed and replaced. Saltwater model can be converted to the freshwater model by swapping out the clusters.

Fully Programmable with Bluetooth App
3 Color Channels
6 Programmable Time Settings
Instant Response
Gradual or Instant color shifts
Programmable light period
Compatible with iOS or Android
Illumagic imOS CRX is a light controlling interface which allows you to program and control the LEDs within the Blaze X series via Bluetooth of your mobile devices. You can define the intensities of LEDs within three channels at various time points that you can also define by yourself. You can set the light settings of two adjacent time points to change gradually or instantly according to your need. There are also various lighting modes to be programmed and selected so you can change the light settings according to your favorites. The Blaze X Series features a real-time clock and will pull the current time off your devices when the lighting program is uploaded.

Recap......., looks to me you get enough pop on your corals from it with only 2x 25 watts clusters.

Black Boxes do a great job.

Are theses any different than black box led's?

Black boxes use old style Bridgelux/Epistar eggs..
Different is impossible to judge w/out knowing manuf..

About the only thing to say is one uses old style LEDs (black box) while the other uses new style LEDs..
old style are easier to fix.. ;)

SPECTRA has some fixtures estimated:
AND I mean estimated, even to diode types they used (like best guess substitutes).. at least AFAICT..

Hey guys, apologies in the delay in chiming in on this thread. We at Unique Corals have recently taken on the Illumagic product range partnering with Dalua Australia who have been using and designing the Illumagic range for over 8 years down under.

To fill everybody in as quickly as possible:
* Illumagic has been the ultimate light of choice for Australian and Asia pacific coral collectors for over 5 years now, with the main customer being Cairns Marine and Bali Aquariums in Indonesia (both heavily invested in acros for both wild caught and aquacultured).
* As mentioned above, SPS growth and colour is no problem and these facilities have not used other lighting for years now.
*For the advanced hobbyist and end user, the Illumagic Blaze units are extremely affordable with the 4 foot units coming in at $1,199 with hanging kits included and a 2 year warranty. The 4 foot units are 300 watts, have unbeatable colour mixing and blending due to the optical grade silicone lenses, fully controllable with bluetooth connectivity, free app download and with endless accessories available for mounting.
* Sizes currently in stock are the Blaze Mini (excellent for frag tanks, 2 foot cubes, and refugiums), Blaze 2 foot, Blaze 3 foot and Blaze 4 foot. The 5 and 6 foot units will be available in the coming months.
* All units and spare parts are carried in the US, so you can be rest assured you and your aquarium will be well looked after in a very speedy manner.

Please contact us for any enquiries, or even better come visit us this weekend at RAP where we can run you through the units. Also don't forget to add Dalua_Australia on instagram and Facebook for even more photos.
