Hi R2R, Can someone please help me figure out what my tank is experiencing and how to resolve this issue. Here is a link to my thread with detailed information that started with an algae problem that got fixed but then led to another algae problem and now some corals are dieing :(

What is the alkalinity and pH in your tank? What are the fluctuations like? i.e. if you take measurements before the lights turn on, and right before they turn off, what is the difference in values?

Alkalinity is currently 9.3 dkh. It was normally around 8.3 but gas jumped up. Maybe because half of the corals are gone. Ph in the morning ranges from 8.04-8.10 at night it’s 8.1-8.2.

This tank is young and still maturing...myself i would stop dosing stuff and just stick to the basics...weekly water changes, scrub and remove as much as you can during wc and keep parameters stable. Most new tanks go through many stages of algaes before they stabilize. Good luck.
