IM 20 or 25

So what is the difference between the fusion 20 and 25? Is it just the extra 5 gallons?

Is the fusion the same as the lagoon?

I'm looking to get one just a little confused on differences.....

The 25 Lagoon is much shallower in height. It also has a small filtration area. The tanks are very different despite the closeness in volume.

I would estimate the volume of the 20 gallon display at 14 gallons. The 25 Lagoon is probably almost 20 gallons. They each hold about 5 gallons in the filter chambers.

Now I really done know what to do hahaha. I like the shallow tank but like to be able to have more space for filter stuff...... I guess a little deeper of a tank is nice too.

I would think about what you want to keep. If you want primarily LPS, a lagoon tank may work well. They tend to grow outward. If you want SPS, or corals that grow upward, a shallow tank may be limiting.

If it helps any they have a 25 lagoon EXT that would give you a similar footprint and allow you to have sump which is the ultimate amount of space for filtration stuff. Theres a good chance your already aware of that but figured I'd throw that out there just in case.

I wanted the lagoon 25 but the location where I was going to put it would have blocked the view of my tv from the left hand side of the couch so I went with the 20. Here are some of my thoughts.

The footprint of the lagoon 25 will allow you to re-use the APS stand for a nuvo 40.

The lagoon also has a deeper display area allowing more aquascaping options.

Slightly more water volume, though at these sizes, parameter swings can still be extreme.

The nuvo 20 has 1 more inch in height over the lagoon 25 which can play a factor in coral placement and selection.

Other than the 1 inch height difference, the rest of the sump dimensions are the same.

If I had a do-over, I would've gone for the lagoon 25 and found a way to reposition my couch and or tv to accommodate the extra 5 inches in depth over the nuvo 20

I'm am mostly interested in hammers, torches and frogspawn I love the movement.

I have 1 acan and 2 blastos that's I'm really liking. You can say I'm more of a LPS fan.

I am gonna get a little birss nest frag to see how it grows soon.
