IM 25 lagoon equipment

I’m currently using hydra 26 hd, ghost skimmer, hydor ATO, sicce return pump..
anything else I could add to make a more successful tank..?

Depending on livestock. A nice screen top. You have a heater yet? Good test kit? Refractometer? Thermometer? Just basic everyday things off the top of my head.

Is a phosphate reactor be beneficial?

Not unless you are having problems. In your system some chemi pure blue or Seachem seagel in a small bag would take care of any phosphate problem if you need it. That’s where a good test kit will be necessary.

Can be? I’m using macro algae to help control nutrients. Much prettier option!

6 months? You can add it sooner but you likely won't have the bacteria to allow it to survive. They require decent stability. New tanks are rough on them.

Alternating flow is important too. I bet you have dead spots. I have an IM lagoon 25 too.

6 months to a year. It will take that long for the tank to stabilize and mature. I know it’s hard to wait but it makes your chances for success much better. My new tanks are at their best between the 1-2 year mark. That’s when I really notice growth and stability.
