Hello all! I recently downsized from a 90 gallon to an Innovative Marine 25 gallon lagoon AIO. It is currently cycling and has nothing in it but water and rocks and sand. I also bought 2 AI Prime HD lights for it. Here is my question. I am having a hard time deciding on the schedule for the lights. I would like to run the BRS AB+ spectrum, but I'm worried that with only having 11 total inches of water, I'm going to fry any coral I put in there. Will it be ok to just knock off some of the percentages on the AB+? Will I still have the same spectrum with lower intensity? Can anyone reccomend a better schedule for such a shallow tank? My hope is to have a mixed reef at some point, much like Drew's lagoon on Instagram. Thanks for any help you can give me.

Here is my current schedule

I use the same spectrum on my nuvo 10 which has about 13 inches of height, i use the flex arm as my mounting device and it hangs the light probably another 10 inches above the water line and it works out great for me you should have no trouble!

I'm running an AI Prime HD at full strength BRS A+B over a Nuvo 10, and my fixture is only 6 inches off the water. I spent about two plus months working it up from 50% strength.

I have a Bonsai acropora, and several branching montipora that are all growing, but I think the acro could use a bit more light to be honest. I have Euphyllia, digita and zoas down on the sand that are all doing fabulously and growing well.

I think as long as you ramp up carefully, you will be fine with those lights and your plan unless you are going for primarily acropora...

Before my current tank I ran two Prime HDs with AB+ on my IM 20. I had good growth and success with SPS and my lights were 8 inches above the water line.

I think you can start lower and always go higher but of course depends on your corals. They are pretty resilient.
