IM 25 Lagoon shelf kit and tension locks

Hello everyone,
So I have a IM 25 gallons AIO and want to add a shelf. I was interested in the IM shelf kit but I'm in Canada and my LFS can't get it.
Is it possible to just get the tension cam locks in a random hardware store and then put a piece of wood on top of it?

I'm not the Queen of DIY but feel like I could do it, unfortunately I have no idea where I can find those little pieces of metal.

I don't think you will have luck finding those at any hardware store - they're pretty specialized. Why not order them from IM? Alternatively, one of the 80/20 aluminum extrusion sellers online might have something similar, but not sure the IM stand extrusions are compatible with 80/20 stuff, and most 80/20 bracketry requires access to the end of the extrusion, which you won't have with the IM stand. Contact IM, I'm sure they'd ship them to you.

They sell those on their website, but they're 20$ I believe plus shipping to Canada. I'd be better off getting the whole kit then!
