So I've lurked around R2R for sometime now but it wasnt until recently I actually created profile. This place has been amazing for research and information.
Just wanted to start a little something to try and maybe better help document my tank and it progress as I work to bring it back from some low times it had a few months back for some time.
Tank: Innovative Marine 25g Lagoon
Light: Radion xr15pro gen 3
Circulation: IceCap Gyre 1k and Hydro Nano240, stock return pump
Skimmer: Reef Glass Nano Skimmer
Dosing: BRS dosing pumps, currently dosing ESV B-ionic 2 part
Quick back story: I had set this tank up when I moved about 3 years ago. Things changed with work I was traveling a little more. Eventually moved to the tank and setup at my parents where I knew it would get taken care of (mainly fish fed) while I was away during the weeks. I was able to get back on weekends to do maintenance. After about 6 months I was moved back to the home office for my company, 4 hours from my tank, so I wasn't getting home as regularly to do maintenance, especially when I made the move. I didn't move the tank at that time...finally moved to back in August. When I did, the tank was overrun with bubble algae, turf algae, and pulsing Xenia (ha). So during the move process I removed as much algae as I could, cleaned things up and have been working the last few months to get things back on track. Excited to be able to give the tank the attention it deserve and see things clear up and corals start to fill in once again.
This was the tank on moving day:
Bubble algae, turf algae, Xenia all over. Some corals colorations were pale while others look good but still, it needs attention.
After a couple months, regular water changes, dosing, cleaning, and re-aquascaping we're here (sorry for the dark photos, still learning):
And just some other random photos from the tank
Looking forward to sharing my progression with the R2R crew
Adam
