IM 30L for coral isolation tank - setup questions

Hi
I have a IM30L sitting around and wanted to use it as a coral QT for 2 months. Mainly zoas, mushrooms, a goniopora, maybe a frog spawn and would love to try an sps.

How best should I use the back compartments?

Carbon, filter floss chemi pure, purigen...
Should I use the caddie. I may still have them somewhere.

I have some biospheres in the tank right now with some Bio Spira

Light with be Radion
Flow MP40 set low
Heater
Will do weekly 5 gallon water changes.


Am I missing anything.

In my 30l, I use the two overflow compartments as refugiums with the caddies cus I keep filter floss on top. I've got 2 reactors with carbon and phosphate and an eshopps nano skimmer in the return.

However, since your only running it as a quarantine tank you'll probably have a much lighter bioload. I've had pretty good luck with with the refugiums so you might consider adding that.

I do a 10 gallon water change roughly every ten days.

what do you have set up for refugium?

i have the following setup with mine;

(moving from left to right when facing the front of tank)
1st chamber; filter floss
2nd chamber; live rock
3rd (main chamber); live rock, heater and main pump
4th chamber; IM ghost skimmer
5th chamber; inTank media chamber with three levels; purigen, chemi pure blue and filter floss.

tank is 5 mos old. has been running great so far although i am battling dinos at the moment. my water may have been too clean as the N and Ph were at 0

I have 2 of IM's refugiums light in the left and right most chambers of the sump.
