IM 30L

So I was given the green light to get a IM 30L and was curious what others have done for upgrades for return pump? Return nozzles upgrades? Also what about powerhead(s)? I’ve been looking around and several places have some kind of deal like BRS has a package to include tank, rock,sand and more just not lights or would it be better to buy in pieces? Thoughts please. My plan for this tank is mostly softy and lps. I currently have a fluval 13.5 with a hammer and a zoa and for fish 2 clowns and a damsel.

quiet and powerful it is. I prob could have gotten away with no powerheads but have a Vortech MP10 dialed down pretty low.

If your new to reefs then a package deal might not be a bad idea. I haven’t seen the BRS packages but that company generally only stocks good/tested equipment so I generally trust them. But if you have some experience, I’d suggest piecing it together yourself. For me, half the fun is researching and selecting equipment. It’s also highly personal as well. Best of luck.

I see you have 2 Kessil lights, 2 AIPrime HD’s should be good also? And how far from water line do have the above? What test kits do you use also. I’m still fairly new to the hobby and with my fluval 13.5 I’m battling cyano right and I have just upgraded my filtration to an intank media basket with floss, Chemi pure nano, purgien and marine pure bio balls.

I don't think you'd get the full gyre effect with how long and shallow this tank is. You should be fine with 2x AI Primes. Good call though, I've wanted one of these tanks for a while now.

Hey trustme what sicce did you upgrade to? I have been looking at the sicce 1.5 and the 2.0 just curious though if the sicce 2.0 would work. I’m also wondering about those spinstreams or the RFG nozzle. What would be a good option other than the MP10 to much at this time.
