IM 40 and Tunze 9004

Is anyone else running a Tunze 9004 in the IM mini 40? Which way are you facing the skimmer? I'm getting only water when the skimmer is running and it sometimes fills the cup overnight or while I'm gone at work. Not sure if I have it tuned right or not but I'm getting what looks like good foam right at the top of the skimmer neck. Thanks in advanced!

Well I have mine facing the center of the rear where the return pump is. You could turn down the air on the intake. So you could get a drier foam and it will not fill as much with wet foam. Do this slowly to you get the skimmer producing to your liking.

Thanks I have mine facing the other way right now I might try and flip it and see if I get better results!

I flipped it around to see if it runs better now. I only have a little bit of the intake grates below the water if I push it in any further it just over flows like crazy. It says the should be about half way under though. I turned the air back a lot so we'll see if I get any better skin.
