My wife said the same thing lol. I was trying to avoid ordering more rock and use what I already had but that may end up happening anyways ‍♂️

So something to keep in mind when scaping your tank is how you are going to set up your wave makers. You want to be sure that don't stack up the rock in a way that you will have a lot of flow dead zones. That can lead to issues with cyano popping up and also make it difficult to place corals there as they will not thrive in dead zones. Also make sure to plan for how the corals you want will grow so that you have room from all angles and won't have to worry about changing your scape later on.

very good food for thought here. these are some things I have tried to consider in my research and playing with the scape. the back side and right side will be against a wall so the front and left side will be for viewing. i will have an mp10 on the right side wall, which I think will be enough but if not ill upgrade to an mp40 or just add another mp10 on the opposing side. my goal is to try and find a balance of adequate space for coral placements as well as plenty of caves, nooks, etc for fish to hide/sleep

what corals are you wanting to keep and what light will you be using, it will help decide how high to build the rockwork. I am building a innovative marine ext 50 lagoon once it arrives so i will be following along

am going to be using an maxpect jump 4k with a sicce sdc for dead spots. I think the mp40 mp 10 combo could be amazing, you will most likely need to turn the mp40 down a lot but you wil get better wave motion in anti sync.
Is this the 30" or 24" version?

I currently have one Kessil a360x. I’ll see what that looks like. I’m thinking I may end up needing a little more to get an even spread with no shadowing so I would probably add another Kessil to keep things uniform. It’ll be mostly a softie and lps tank as that’s what I’ve always had.but I’m thinking of adding a few sps to see how it goes. I currently have a couple of acans, Zoas, and gsp in my frag tank that will be going into this tank when it’s ready

It’s the 30” version. I have an mp10 on my biocube 29 which is not as wide and have it turned down a good bit

is the inside or outside of the tape the tank dimensions? If it is the inside you maybe too close to the glass on the righthand side. it looks like you have maybe 1" of space and you won't be able to clean or place corals adequately on that side with the space given.

The outside of the tape is the interior dimensions of the tank. That’s the closest I would like to be to the glass. Ideally I’d like to be a tad bit inside or that even. I was thinking enough room to clean. I didn’t even consider placing corals there so I might try to tighten it up a titch more

Tank is in. Also ordered a little more rock to match the existing color. Jumboshrimps comment solidified that was the right thing to do lol
awesome i ordered mine yesterday, how long did it take to get yours? Also any reason for the AIO and not the EXT or INT? I went Ext for more tank space and sump added

nice! i ordered mine the beginning of last week, i think on monday. so about a week and a half. pretty quick considering ive heard some people say it took them a few months. so a few reasons i went AIO. one being the price and location. the tank is going in between my living room dining room so the quiter the better. not to mention its cheaper. I have always wanted a 4' 120 so im saving the added cost of having to buy a sump, pump, etc for that build, at least that is the plan. I actually almost went with a 75 INT but there was a slight mix up in the ordering so i took that as my sign to stick with the 50 for now

I def like #2... Not sure if the inside of your blue tape is the inside of your glass or if the outside of the blue tape is, but be sure you have enough space between rock and glass so that have room for your mag cleaner and/or scraper.

thanks, the outside of the tape is the inside of the glass. i like the extra sand space/swimming area scape 2 offers. i like how scape 1 offers an extra cave or two plus some extra space for corals, hmmm
