Hey R2R, I was at petco today picking up some filterfloss, beggingbits when an individual came in with a yellow ich covered tang. Store policy I guess is no returns well they put him in the trash on the way out and me being me dug it out. I now have ich covered tang wohoo o_O I put it in a 20long I was going to use for a new tank now it has coppersafe ......well in 2 to 3 weeks I need to find it home ;Stop I have 50 dt that is stocked an this fish needs room to swim. If anyone in Abq area is interested hit me up thx

Wat should I feed it I have reef frenzy, nls and frozen brine

no they did on the outside. thx should I soak it in garlic to entice?

For a balanced diet, tangs need algae as a large portion of their diet. (You may already know this, and if so, disregard. ;)) Use an algae clip to feed nori (seaweed) daily. Deficiencies in this area can lead to serious health problems with algae-eating fish. It's inexpensive if you buy unseasoned nori in the Asian section of your grocery store (no seasoning or salt; just seaweed). It's much more costly to buy algae just for fish at the LFS.

So nice of you to save the tang! We used to live in ABQ, and would have gladly taken him. Good luck finding him a home after you've cured his ick!

You are anything but a dummy! Isn't the love we have for these little guys the whole reason we have tanks in the first place?

Wry cool of you to save oscar the tang! With Hawaii being out of commission, you shouldn't have any trouble finding a home for it. Just make sure it gets a good home in a huge tank. That poor guy deserves it after all it's been through!!!

thx guys it's doing much better. I went with a full dose the first day which I corrected quickly. first time treating a fish this forum has been so helpful
