Hello Everyone!
I'm new to the saltwater experience for a month now, and am getting very addicted.

As for now I have a nano/pico tank set up with a few little friend all happy as can be. Be forewarned about any of my stupid questions… I am a Noob :)

Here is my pride and joy so far:

RIP the torch:(

welcome! nice nano sorry about the torch. That was my saddest loss a couple years ago :/

Thanks, I just wish I knew what my output on my lights are. They are the ones that came with the tank and I think that is what killed my torch. I guess I'm stuck with zoas and critters

Welcome aboard. That's a real good start. You'll catch on to the little things after awhile. Like how a torch will get paler when getting too much light. What kind of light is on your tank?

Thanks for the welcome! the light I have is an Aqua Top HiaYang LED-50. I'm thinking it is way too much for the torch since it died.. I have no idea what the actual output of it is since there is really no information out there about this light.
I would love a good suggestion on a new light that will keep everything getting enough light and still be able to add new things to my tank.

You're certainly correct about not being able to find any info on that light. But, I would presume judging by their other LED lights that it wasn't sufficient to keep corals. What size tank is it that you have? We can point you to a light that won't drain your wallet.

The tank is a 4gal pico/nano (depending on who is calling it what)
here is the list of things being housed in the tank, and have been before I received it (was a display for a LFS)
a clown fish
two shrimp (peppermint & Sexy)
hermit crabs
Lavender Clove polyp
mushrooms (three types)
Red finger gorgonion
a zoanthid (one head, and thinking it is called a red eye)
nassarius snails
