Ok here goes... My name's Savant and Im addicted to aquariums.
It started in '89 with a used 55g and fw fish, loved it. After maybe 2 years of reading/learning/experimenting/failing/succeeding I had the attention to detail thing down and the compulsive issues worked out (mostly)...lol
Time to try salt...compulsive issues back...doh. After 2 more years of reading/learning/experimenting/failing/ finally succeeding to a very small degree. I had to break down my tank and move....no more fishes for 10 years
In 2002 I relapsed... bought a 73g bowfront and proceeded to engage in the cycle of addiction once again. Relapse lasted 2 years with marginal success keeping FOWLR. A 2004 hurricane and a week long power outage pretty much got me "clean" again
2006...**** I need help... same 73 bf fresh water...again...
Present...AHHHHHH HELP ME PLEASE somebody HELP!!!! ok a month ago I broke down my tank and gave away all my fish, I thought "no fish, empty tank, good to go" NOPE, I started backsliding almost immediately, started to browse the net, found this AWESOME forum & the rest is history.
Seriously this forum ROCKS, I wish I had this kind of knowledge base in the past (before internets and such). Technology and methodology has completely made my previous equipment(wet/dry sump, ect..) and knowledge obsolete, so in essence Im starting new. This is good. I will in fact be posting my game plan in the noob section and hopefully get the great advice I know R2R members can offer.
Thanks in advance
