I am going to be setting up a 90 gallon tank and I want to do fish/rock/invert only

corals are cool but after loosing all mine in the crash of spring 15, i want to just enjoy fish/inverts

The thing is I (we the kids and wife) want color and activity, the tank will be light on rocks as I want more open areas for fish to swim, but will over filtered with the up-sized skimmer, sump, reactor and such.

So anyone have any ideas as to some good bright active fish but can still get snails and crabs and other inverts?

Ohh Ohh the flame angel is my favorite!
awesome color and and never bothers my other fish :-)

Flameangel will be cool but are they invert safe? I know there iffy when they are in coral tanks

Kole Yellow Eye Tang could work in a tank like that. You could do something like a Dotty back, a Kole tang, a pair of clowns in a BTA, a goby of some sorts and a wrasse and have yourself a good diversity.

I have a bi-color angel and he's nem/snail/crab/shrimp safe, he's just not Zoa safe, and if I ever get a net on him he's sump bait. The stories I heard on small angels were hit or miss. I swung and I missed, your mileage may very, but do be weary of the smaller angels and at least go in knowing you're 50/50 if you decide to add things other then inverts.
