IM Chaetomax and water evaporation?

I'm thinking of adding a 9w chaetomax to the back portion of my biocube, under the hood. However, the tank gets a decent amount of condensation, and I was wondering if that would damage the light? I know that it's not waterproof, but I wonder if it's at least a bit water resistant, or would the condensation kill it? I can't put the light on the outside because chamber one is covered on all sides by black acrylic panels.

I definitely would not. It's not even slightly waterproof. The product page even specifies that it's not.

Could you link me where it says that? I checked their website here and it doesn't mention it. In any case, I picked up a 2w water proof LED off Amazon for 20 dollars. If it doesn't work, then I guess I'll have to do some rearranging of the back chambers.

Oh I see. I was going to get it from my LFS so I didn't check Amazon. My bad. Do you have any experience with the NICREW waterproof LED?
