my dose of core 7 is 4ml per day why is it so low?
my alk was at 8.0 and droping at 2ml per day
so increased it to 4ml and now its at 8.5 it increases about .1 per week
im using triton core 7 my display tank is 140 gallons sump is (60 gallons) holding approx 40 gallons system has been running for about 6 months . some corals are growing others seem to be just holding steady. i have 50-60 frags in system mostly sps and lps only a few zoas ive had some issues with nitrate too low and losing color but i cut back skimmer to 12 hrs a day and i increased feedings.
im attaching my first icp test i got back today

For whatever reason your corals are not uptaking the elements, looking at the results I would suggest the excess Molybdenum. Are you dosing NoPox?

I would recommend that you carry out the corrective water changes and keep reducing the dose of Core7 until it stabilises, once it is and you have carried out the water changes to remove the excess Mo then you should find that the corals start to uptake more and your dose can then increase.

I'm not using no pox I setup tank with red sea pro salt the only thing I've added other than triton is prazi pro a few months ago to get rid of flukes

I know it may seem like an obvious answer, but Core7 is potent and if your were slowly dropping alk at 2mL/day dosage and then DOUBLED the dose to 4mL I don't know what I would expect other than that your corals are not going to double their uptake. Let's try 3mL so a 50 percent increase over the level you were seeing alk drop at. Idk maybe I'm missing something, but for me I would always expect an overshoot if I double my dosage of a concentrated supplement.

At 3ml per day it is dropping lol

Does anyone have any idea why elements are being used at such low rates

How long did you try 3mL? I would consider Triton a high concentration supplement so your usage is not necessarily outstandingly low for a tank full of fragments mainly. I'm certain you could see more uptake, but it's hard to know exactly what your system is capable of in its current state. The other option is diluting all parts of your Core7 equally so you can dose in smaller increments than 1mL of full strength solution. At half strength you'd get twice the resolution of control increments for adding or subtracting total supplement input.

Controling the dkh level isn't really a problem I just skip a day once a week I'm mostly trying to figure out if something else is causing the low uptake
