IM Fusion 20 Stand

Would this stand work for the Fusion 20? I had bought it for an EVO 13.5 which I decided to return and get the 20.

If not, any advice on how I could reinforce it with 2x4's.

I'm sure it could work. Lookinbg at the manual it says it's all particleboard. Make sure you wipe any spills soon as they happen.

My only concern is the weight.

No offence but how much do you weigh? Sit on it. If it holds you're good. If it breaks don't use it.. Lol. A 20 gallon will be about 150 +/- pounds. If you have doubt I'd rather be safer than sorry and not use it

It would most likely support the weight fine. I'd turn my concern to an animal, child, or careless adult bumping into it. Consider how well you think it can absorb that force with the ~200 pounds on top.

Your supposed to secure these stands to the wall, which I haven't done. I may do that but would have zero space behind the tank/stand at that point.

They did recess the kick plate about 4" or so on bottom for some reason so that also lends to tipping forward. Another reason why they want you to secure to wall.

Gonna look at some options this weekend. I'm really considering building a frame out of 2x4's and using this as the shell.
