im getting corraline growth but...

Hi, I’ve finally started seeing corraline alagae but in the least expected place-my canister filters outtake. Furthermore it’s growing exponentially inside the tube but can’t seem to find it anywhere else on the rocks or glass? The photos were taken two weeks apart. What’s the difference in condition between my outtake and the rest of my DT? I’ve got samples of corraline around the DT and they look fine and healthy but no growth it seems...
