Hello everyone, I am planning to setup a IM 25 lagoon LPS dominant tank soon. My last decision is lighting. Would 1 Red Sea 50 led be enough, or should I get 2 Red Sea 50 leds for the lighting of the tank. I plan to mostly have LPS corals, so super high lighting is not needed to a high degree I believe! Thank you for all your help!

I'd recommend the 16" reefbreeder photon v2 LED
What do you like best about the photon? I have looked at that and they are out of stock for 24 inches but I dont think they have true uv do they? Just lavender. Do they give good color pop? My tank is 30 inches wide so I wish it was bigger than 24. Do they give decenr par at the sandbed? My tank is 20inches.

Well i love the build and quality for starters. Very well constructed, slim and sleek! Looks great over the tank. I have the 32" currently and look to get the 24" when available. I cant comment on true UV or not. The color is fantastic and the par is huge. I have it hung 16" above the water and im easily getting 200 par at the bottom of a 18" tank using only about 50% of the lights potential. I love it has its own controller, no need for apps. Also has a full custom mode which is nice. I liked it so much i wanted to buy another to put over my other display and replace the current lighting which is an older zetlight qmaven.

Okay! I love the way it looks, with the colored leds on the bottom, way nicer than qmave. I id like that qmaven had uv. I don know much at all about that but I read somewhere it had to be under 400 nm to be true uv and that was supposed to make colors pop more. I found a qmaven in a chinese store called lowcost aquarium for 229.00 and almost bougt it, but I saw some youtubes and there was no shimmer at all! I dont like a lot of shimmer but a little bit is good! If photons were in I would have ordered them I am sure but yeah, i need the 28 and still out of stock. Didnt realize it came in 32. Thats only 2 inches bigger so 1 inch each side. Might be able to make that work!

I like my Maxspect Razor over mine. It's got plenty of penetration for the shallow tank, and all of my corals pop. I have estimated PAR values based on BRS's measurements and mounting heights. Plenty of light, plenty of spread but without a lot of spill. It's also not super expensive, but if you want wireless control, you have to to an add-on for that. Wish they's just add Bluefish.
