I'm looking for an ATO reservoir (and pump)

The reservoir base has to fit in a space that is 8" x 22". It can have a max height of 19". I am interested in reservoirs with smaller dimensions, but I need to stay at or above 5 gallons total volume.

I will buy the pump separately if necessary.

Triggers 5g ato container fits those dimensions. They look really nice as well. As for a pump what ato are you using. I have an osmolator pump in mine and it works great.

The 10g is 10" x 16" x 15" tall so a little too big for your area

Yep, I was looking at the Trigger 5 gal, but it is a little pricey for me. I was hoping to pick up a used one (or something similar). As for ATO, I have an Apex and I already have float switches installed in my sump that are connected to the Apex. So, I just need the reservoir and a pump.

I would suggest you visit your local petco or petsmart stores and look at the plastic dog/cat food storage containers. You may find something very close to the size you need without the high " custom" label in the title.

Other than being powered by the 1Link, is there any other advantage to the pmup? I have plenty of free outlets on my second EB8 that I could plug a standard ATO pump into (e.g.QUIET ONE PRO 400 (103 GPH) - LIFEGARD - $12.99 at BRS).
