IM maxi mini reactor help

I'm looking to run GFO using the IM maxi mini reactor. I have a Fusion 20 gallon aquarium. I'm not sure how much I should open it up. During my 1st test it seemed like it was pouring gfo out. Is that suppose to happen?

I think I figured it out. Needed more rinsing. Should I worry if the gfo grains we're pumped into my tank briefly?

Just try and suck some of it out. I did same thing first time with this reactor.

I Drew a sharpie line on the outside acrylic where I like the flow, then lift up the chamber and draw another lining them up, every time I change media it is already adjusted.
