IM Minimax running GFO?

Hey does anyone have experience running GFO in their Innovative Marine Minimax reactor?

it seems of the little information I’ve found, people haven’t had much good to say. Like that the foam inserts get clogged or that it’s too finicky to get the proper flow.

I used one in an IM30L back in '14. I believe I was running the BRS high capacity GFO. I don't recall any issues with it getting clogged up, but I was always pretty consistent with maintenance. Regardless, I ended up selling off the Minimax to someone in my club and went with filter bags. Sometimes low-tech is just easier and it freed up room in the chambers for other equipment.

Thanks I appreciate the feedback. I hadn’t considered the high capacity, so I might order that instead of the regular GFO. If the reactor doesn’t work as planned, I’ll definitely go the filter bag approach. Thanks again.
