Hey guys! I am super excited to finally be a member of this community. I have been in the hobby for a long time and a professional in the field for a few years now but the biggest hole in my expertise is coral keeping. I have been keeping softies only with moderate success up to this point and am looking to make the transition into SPS in the coming months. I apologize in advance for all stupid questions!!! I am eager to contribute to this forum in my areas of expertise which are all of the what-not-to-do's of aquarium keeping and how to spend literally all your money.

I am actually a marine biologist so feel free to ridicule me for my inability to grasp simple reef keeping.

I have all the beginner's favorites GSP, Xenia, and Zoas but the lobophylia is my new baby as well as a pink goniopora just out of shot here. Plus plenty of vertical space for future SPS.

Ha ha ha!!! It just looks nice now, don't let it fool you. All those rocks were on the floor of my office two days ago so I could pull all the fish into quarantine for ich. Instead of Easter egg hunting my kids were hunting for emerald crabs that were crawling across my floor.

Don’t you just hate when they won’t get in the net - like “I’m trying to help you !! “

And then you’re faced with putting the rocks back - and it’s never the same !

LOL why don't you want to live?!?!

IT IS NEVER THE SAME uuggh. you can see in the picture all the white gaps in the algae where it didn't go together right, and it is actually beautiful corraline growing in so I was double bummed.
