IM Nuvo 20 Return pump won't turn on

We had a power outage last night at 9pm. After 30min of no power, I ran extension cord to my car and plugged in all of my components. Everything turned back on except the return pump. It's the stock pump from tank purchase. I tried tapping it a few times and replugging in a few times. No results. I've had my power head pointed up for a lot of surface agitation. There is water in the back chamber that has been there for now almost 24hr and I need to fix this. Any help is appreciated! Thanks

I'm thinking maybe I will mix some water and siphon as much as possible from back chamber. Try and look at pump to see if maybe it's just clogged, and then refill chamber and try to turn on. If that doesn't work, I'm out of luck...

Pull it out and check the impeller. They need to be cleaned every 6 months or so, along with the tubing. It's just a branded Chinese OEM pump so who knows what state the impeller is in.

Many IM tank owners ditch the pumps in favor of things like a Cobalt MJ or Sicce Syncra, they are one of the first upgrades typically done to the tanks.

Ok, I'll do that. I've got the new salt mixing now. I'll still siphon out the back, I'm sure it can't be good for all that standing water to start circulating into the tank again if I can get it running. This is the first time I've had an issue like this. Makes me so nervous with so many corals in there. ;Greedy

I've taken it apart as far as I could and no luck getting it to run... any other advice? Will order new pump tonight but it won't get here soon enough...

Siphon all the water out of the back for now and just let your powerhead circulate the water in the display until you can get a new pump. Is your rock/coral low enough that it won't be exposed with the waterlevel below the overflows?

Yeah, I added water to cover all. Have one powerhead pointed up that is agitating surface well and one is the usual cross tank flow. Would a small HOB be worth purchasing for temporary filtration? The tank houses a small pair of clowns and one cardinal
