Hi All,

I'm in the process of cycling my new IM Nuvo 40 and just purchased the Kessil A360X. Would be very interested in hearing peoples lighting schedules! My plan for this tank is to have a mix of softies (zoas and LPS, mostly Euphyllia. Maybe down the line try some birdsnests higher up in the tank since its so tall.

I have not purchased the controller yet, as I still have a few weeks before my tank cycles. Anyone have any idea if they will release the wi-fi dongle anytime soon?

Thanks everyone !

Let see if some one an help you.:)

Is anybody out there? Can anyone hear me?

How about anyone who has this light or knows enough to suggest a lighting schedule. Thank you !

I have had the 360X for about 3 weeks and just added the controller a few days ago. It was added over my DT shortly after transferring LR from a few days of cycling. I started with 12-14 hours of light (about 80% intensity) from about 11” above the surface and worked down to 8” over a week. While ramping up/down the intensity, I had been manually adjusting color from blue to white. This seems to have worked well as I’ve seen good PE from Tubastraea? sp. that was on the LR. Also, there was a slight dusting of diatoms, algae that cleared up once I added CUC. I’ve set up the controller with a similar light schedule.

Thank you for replying! I appreciate the suggestions

I have the same tank and light with the controller. When I emailed Kessil they said sometime in the summer for the Wifi dongle. Here is the light schedule I have based off the A360x Lighting Schedule thread.

12pm Clr=0, Int=1, Vi=0 R=0, G=0
130pm Clr=10, Int=30, Vi=10 R=5, G=5
3pm Clr=30, Int=70, Vi=70 R=15, G=15
700pm Clr=50, Int=80, Vi=80 R=15, G=15
10pm Clr=30, Int=70, Vi=70 R=15, G=15
11pm Clr=0, Int=10, Vi=5 R=0, G=0
12am Clr=0, Int=1, Vi=0 R=0, G=0
1201am Clr=0, Int=0, Vi=0 R=0, G=0
Lunar 1201am to 2am

I am still testing things out and do not have any corals etc in the tank yet.

I just opened my light a few hours ago. Didn't realize my old a150 gooseneck wouldn't fit the new light. Kessil was kind enough to send me the little bracket piece to replace in my gooseneck.

Light is so nice though. I guess you cant access the violet without the spectral X controller?

Kind of in a pickle here though, without the controller I only really have on/off function with the kessil + apex controller.

Thanks for sharing. Looking forward to hearing more on your lighting findings. This is a deep tank for me so i'm just trying to gather info. I spoke to kessil today and they recommended 6-8 imches from water to minimize spillage.

Just set up my 360x controller.
Looking for good spectrum settings to resemble AB+

Anyone else have a chance to set up or dial in their lighting schedules with the a360X? I'm still trying to figure out a good one. Thanks!

I am still running the same settings as I posted above but I changed a couple of settings after the ramp up.

12pm Clr=0, Int=1, Vi=0 R=0, G=0
130pm Clr=10, Int=30, Vi=10 R=5, G=5
3pm Clr=23, Int=100, Vi=100 R=23, G=23
700pm Clr=30, Int=100, Vi=100 R=23, G=23
10pm Clr=23, Int=100, Vi=100 R=23, G=23
11pm Clr=0, Int=10, Vi=5 R=0, G=0
12am Clr=0, Int=1, Vi=0 R=0, G=0
1201am Clr=0, Int=0, Vi=0 R=0, G=0

I have not had corals in the system long enough to show any real growth yet.

I’ve been doing 80uv 25red 15green 20white/color. Sunrise and sunset drop to 0 and 5 white during the ramp up and ramp down, the other colors stay the same. Visually it looks great. I’ll report back in a few months how coral does, so far it’s growing faster and better colors than my 360we’s but that’s apples to oranges.
