IM Nuvo 40 replacement return pump

Hello I’m thinking of increasing the flow of the return pump on a Nuvo 40, which is the Mighty Jet 538GPH. I read that the Sicce 2.0 is a very tight fit. Curious if anyone has tried another option, for example the Aqua Illumination Axis 90 Centrifugal Pump. Looks like it would fit. But I see some negative reviews about the pump intermittently shutting off. Well thanks in advance.

What are you hoping to accomplish by increasing the flow from the pump? Are you looking for more flow in tank or looking to increase flow through your filtration chambers? If in tank flow id personally recommend gyres and power heads. I use the cheaper Jebao versions rather than the US brand name power heads.

If flow in general if have to look at the size of the return chamber for the 40 nuvo but personally id take a DC mighty jet over a Sicce 2 or the AI centrifugal pump.
