Beautiful tank right down the road!
Hi I'm thinking of the 100 ext as well. thanks for posting this picture. BTW how has the back acrylic wall held up so far? did they apply glue over the enitre acrylic wall? on to the glass? How is the tank? any cons/prosBlack silicone is very smoothly applied and looks nice...for now. We'll see how this holds up through the years.
There's no silicone on my acrylic tank and rounded front corners, so this is a different experience. Existing tank has been up for around 10 years until the recent breakdown and rebuild a few months ago.

Thanks, after asking around. I went ahead and place an order for the IM EXT 100. There's a 40% sale on the EXT 150 and it comes to better pricing than the 100... so tempting but not enough space in the office room!.So far, so good with the tank. I really enjoy the size of the tank...not too big and not too small. The acrylic wall has been fine and no issues (knock on wood). I'd prefer it was glass so that cleaning would be easier, but I use plastic (credit cards) to clean to minimize scratches.
Looking forward to seeing your build thread! Thanks, after asking around. I went ahead and place an order for the IM EXT 100. There's a 40% sale on the EXT 150 and it comes to better pricing than the 100... so tempting but not enough space in the office room!.
I saw some other post that IM changed the acyrlic back wall to ABS. I will know when I get the tank at the end of march

I called them up today. Spoke to Brian, confirm tanks arriving end of March and the plastic back wall is now abs instead of acrylic.Looking forward to seeing your build thread!
Nice thread! Any major changes to the tank in terms of equipment or livestock?
I recently accepted delivery and set up my IM50. Like you, I found the stand instructions very confusing. My biggest issues was that I installed the side doors to the stand upside down (doh!) so that the doors open up away from the wall and not towards. I am not sure if this impacts the integrity of the stand but I will probably take it apart and install the doors the correct way just for ease of use.
I have the white stand and really like it. It has a very clean look.Thank you!
No major changes. Had an issue with STN about four months back. After reading some threads, decided to try Dr Tim's Eco Balance and then RTN\STN X by Fauna Marine. So far, things have been stable and corals are growing like crazy...except for Walt Disney, he just won't take off.
I wished my stand had side doors! My order was placed prior to them having the door option. Another thing I would have done is go for the white stand instead of black. The white is a nice powder coat and easier to keep clean, IMO.

You are certainly doing something right! The growth you are getting is excellent! Do you have any close ups? I wish I lived closer to get some of those frags![]()
