The tank is just about done cycling so wanted to start a tank thread for my new Nuvo Fusion 40! Tank was started on 01/03 with RODI water and Red Sea Coral Pro Salt with everything running since day 1. I added MB7 every day for the first 2 weeks and am now just adding it once a week. I have been testing every day and today I had 0’s for Ammonia and Nitrite, 10 for Nitrate. I tested all the rest of my params as well and will post the results below. Let me know if you guys have any input on the setup and appreciate all who take a look! I will post some more pics tomorrow when I get a chance.

For livestock I plan on a mix of softies, LPS and 1 or 2 SPS. I am going to move my clown from my 16g Biocube to this tank and add a second clown with a BTA. I plan on adding other fish, just haven’t fully decided on what yet! I had an extra hermit in my Biocube so I added him to the Nuvo today to see some life in the new tank.

This might be a bad idea, but I have a beautiful Australian long tentacle plate coral in my Biocube and am planning to move it to the new tank. It is doing awesome, just getting too big for the Biocube. I would love to move it this weekend after I do a water change, but I don’t want to harm it at all! Any thoughts on this?

Sorry this was long winded, but thanks again for checking in and I will try to update with new additions and progress!

Nice upgrade. Welcome to R2R!

The tank looks great and welcome to R2R!

A little update. All my params tested great for a week so I added the first fish to the tank back on 01/27 (Flame Hawkfish) and has been eating and looking good since he was added. Pretty shy and don’t see him much, but eats great. The initial hermit crab is still doing good too. I move my heliofungia to this tank on 01/30 and looks as good as ever. Also, I have been wanting an anemone forever and planned on putting one in this tank. I wanted it to be one of the first things in there so it could move where it wanted without killing a bunch of corals. It’s a Colorado Sunburst Bubble Tip that lost its yellow so the best LFS had to sell it as a rainbow. It is awesome! I drip acclimated it for 45 mins and then added to the tank. It latched on in seconds to the spot where I put it and stayed there, fully open and bubbled all day the first day. As I was expecting, it moved when the lights went off all the way to the other side of the tank and behind the rocks. I’m going to give it a week to move before I mess with it. There is almost no light where it is now so I’m guessing it will love back on its own soon. Here are some oics of the additions

following along, it looks nice any updates and pictures of the back of your tank?
