I have a saltwater aquarium and I need water to do a water change and fill up for evaporation but I don't have any way to get my hands on RODI water. My local LPS are closed, I don't live near a Petco/PetSmart, and my sink is jammed. A couple of weeks ago I ordered a RODI system that connects to the faucet of my kitchen sink. The rodi system worked wonders the first 2 times that I used it but not I cant seem to get the faucet head off to screw in the RODI system. I tried everything and nothing is screwing the faucet loose. I know this is not a plumbing forum and I am not gonna be able to mess with any of the plumbing (disconnecting pipes etc) but what am I supposed to do? I don't know how long this quarantine is going to last and I cant leave for a very long time? Is there an alternative to RODI water that I can use so my fish don't die.

I attached a pic of the sink that I have.

You can use distilled water, most grocery stores should have it or walmart brand in pink bottle works fine and is the cheapest you will probably find @ .89 cent..

Ya get a wrench on there. If you ruin the aerator it's not a big deal to replace. Why do you keep removing the rodi faucet adapter? Can't you use the sink while it's on?

Left loosey Righty Tighty... except with plumbing sometimes lol. They probably used more tape than necessary. Wrap some tape around the stainless tonprotext the finish and crank on it with pliers. It will come off I promise. Its probably cheaper to buy a new faucet than to get 1g at a time from walmart. The one pictured might be $20. I hope you did your homework on the rodi and got a 5 stage if you have chloramines in your water. If not get a DI before you start filling your tank. I'd get a cheap TDS meter too and verify its zero. They are $20.

Got a garden hose?

Is the RODI system the ROBUDDIE and have you been using the plastic two sided thread adapter? I had the same issue... went to Ace hardware and got a new one
