I don't think I'd have enough room as far as dimensions from the output for the spinner. Love the idea though

Hmm. I had an IM Fusion 4 gallon and used it on it before I got the 10 gallon. You can rotate it so the orientation is different. If the rock is in the way should be the only limiting factor. My aquascape was more open at the top.

Should I be worried about the reduced flow rate of the nozzle with such a small tank?

It says as low as 52 gph flow rate but it didn't do as well with the stock pump that came with the 4 gallon. I bought a Sicce that fit perfectly in the 3rd chamber.

I think it's this one but the 1.0 is the same size but pumps 251 gph.

Growth update. Sps are still a no go (minus a birdsnest frag that you can’t see) but happy with how the tank looks

Cool tank, just FYI this is a camel shrimp not a peppermint shrimp (not sure you know that) and they can pester/eat coral.

Looks like you’re right, my LFS must have had them mismarked and I didn’t catch it. So far it hasn’t pestered the corals at all. He mainly stays behind the live rock

You're not messing around with the light on that 4 gallon!
I love the pico/nano IM tanks. I run an 8 gallon. Great challenge working in the confined space. Love the mod for the 2 returns. You could also put a hang on the back filter onto this for some bonus volume and adding a little skimming action (not sure it's needed, just sayin). I managed to squeeze a eShoppes nano skimmer into the back of mine and a ATO.

I almost got a gnome skimmer, but I had a a tiny fudge in the back with chaeto and a JBJ nanoglow on the outside for nutrient export. Glad I went with this approach. It works great without a skimmer. And it’s quiet with an air pump
