So I broke down a 60 gallon die to a velvet outbreak well I've lost a cleaner wrasse and a 5 in magnificent fox now I just lost a hammer colony I'm sad
I'm sorry for your losses. This hobby has a way of kicking people while they're down more than others. Learning from it and moving forward is all we can really do.
So it all started what I thought was ich went to treat that's why I broke the tank down. I got all new sand bleached the live rock starting fresh.. So I took my coral shrimp and cuc out and put it in a little 5 gal holding tank while I treated the fish. While cleaning the tank I decided to upgrade so I ordered a seapora 75 rimless. I think I couldn't get the light right for the hammer to be happy it stopped coming out and slowly withered away. It sucks but I'm staying in it. So far the angel and clowns are good I have a blasto it's not coming all the way out but still color and a unknown softie that is fine just not the same purple color it was before
It's part of the hobby live and learn, atleast that's what I've been going with for the last 35 years but the last 15 have been great. Takes time to learn the little things. Hang in there it's not the end of the world, **** happens!
