What kind of light you use on your 180gal
How come you tank is so clean no dust

People always comment when they see my tanks in person how clear the water is. The tanks don't even look like they have water in them lol

I use an old canon 7D with a cheapo 60mm canon macro lens. I use Lightroom to adjust the WB to 17000k and sometimes crop the photo. That's about it most the time.

The debris is probably all the fish poo lol

Mine know not to crap when I have the cameras out

If you zoom into my photos you'll notice it's not perfect. There is some debris just not all that distracting. Also I run filter socks on all the tanks so maybe that helps.

I have trigger sumps on my 2 big tanks and a stock SCA sump on my cube. Filter socks used on all 3.

The 180 I decided no refugium but the other 2 do have it.

Interesting that some of you have multiple acanthurus genus specimens in your tanks. Though I have kept multiple zebrasomas, naso and bristles; I always just have a single acanthurus. Thinking of trying to add a powder blue in my next tank build. Oh, and a black tang if I can find one.

I need a tang expert! I currently have a blue hippo and a yellow for tangs.. Only other big fish is a yellow pyramid butterfly.

I want at least one more tang, I love the achilles but I hear they can be aggressive. I also like purple and clown. Thoughts? I just don't want them fighting. 240 gallon display

Not really an expert, but I read a lot, and all three of those tangs can be pretty aggressive.

@4FordFamily, who _is_ a tang expert, has a great write-up on aggression among tangs here: https://www.reef2reef.com/ams/tang-aggression-understanding-and-combating.76/ , where he places the purple (of the tangs on your list) among the most aggressive tangs, with the clown and _most_ Achilles tangs at about mid-range. Tangs are individuals though, and it's possible to find one that's more - or less - aggressive than it's "supposed" to be.

Yup Achilles tangs follow a very broad spectrum - some can be as nasty as PBT, others are more docile. They do get nastier as they age and grow, as well.

Aggressive zebrasoma tend to calm down eventually or with the tricks mentioned in that thread. Angry PBT and some other acanthurus tangs can hold permanent grudges and won't let up until the victim is dead or gone, oftentimes.

Those are all super aggressive Tangs.. Have all 3 you so desire, The clown is probably the most aggressive. Mine is only 3-4" and he is the smallest tang yet is by far the most bold.. The Achilles are aggressive but they are very very difficult to acclimate to a closed system unless intruded 1st. I have always used the Bigger And added next methodology... My Achilles for example is the 3rd try at getting this addition to work in my system (220Gal) I had been getting similarly sized achilles and the other fish picked on them. This time and the only reason I got him was he was a going to be the largest fish in the system 7'+ compared to mostly 3-5" tangs.. He wouldn't eat for almost 2 weeks (and still only eats nori after almost 3 months) but even as he skinned up none of the other tangs would mess with him.. He has since fattened back up and is definitely the ruler of the tank..

Other than the aberrants, I have now completed my 'collection' of zebrasomas with the acquisition of a rostratum. Cool fish.
