Hey Everyone!

I am about to setup a fun new tank. I have the house up for sale so I didn't want to go big because I will be moving some time over the next 6 months. Once I move I will be doing another build 100 Gallons plus.

Here is my equipment list, let me know your thoughts and suggestions. I will be buying everything this week.

-IM25 Lagoon
-IM APS 25 stand
-20 LBS Pukani
-20 LBS Fiji Pink
-Radion XR15 pro light with RMS Arm (mostly LPS and Zoos, a few montis)
-MP10 DQ
-Reef Link
-Bubble magus t11 dosing pump
-Tunze Osmolator Nano
-Innovative Marine Hydrofill Resevoir
-BRS GFO & Carbon Dual Reactor
-Aquamax HOB1.5

Hopefully I didn't miss anything...I am trying to build this top quality, no shortcuts.

Thanks,
Jake

Hey guys, would really love some input on this build list with any suggestions! Please let me know.

Thanks,
J

Okay, is the standard better somehow? Just curious as to your thinking :)

Thanks,
Jake
I had the nano and they used cheaper magnets for it and it eventually showed a ton of rust stains/marks and had an effect on my coral. I email tunze and they basically said it's the same as gfo and shouldn't have any effect but I beg to differ.

Wow! Good to know, thanks!

Regular tunze it is! Any other build suggestions? If not, I shall order today or tomorrow :) (then the fun of pictures begins)

Thanks,
Jake

I know the extra $100 is a tough one to swallow but the double fail safe is worth it IMO. Not sure of the size of the rear compartment but I'm running g the tunze 9004 D.C. Internal skimmer and it works amazing and I prefer to not have a hang on skimmer just a thought. They do make a small one I believe also.

One more for me would be to buy 2 single reactors. That way you can adjust the flow to each of the media. I don't think that dual has 2 value to adjust separately. The Tunze 9004 is a pretty good skimmer.

I'm actually getting two mini BRS reactors and plumbing them together. If I find the flow to be a problem I will add another pump and plumb them seperately.

Thanks,
Jake

UPDATE: Ordered everything today. I went with the radion G4 XR15 and the larger ATO, as per recommendations. I am excited to get this build going and will post pictures this week when everything arrives. Thanks to those who have helped out thus far.

To those following: Tomorrow is the big day. Tons of products coming. I purchased the RMS mount for my Radion, waiting to see how the spread is using that mount. If the spread is too tight I will end up hanging the light.

Pictures in mass tomorrow :)

Thanks,
Jake

Update Time:

Excited on my way home today because my massive order had been received. I started with the stand because, duh! Unfortunately, it seems my stand may have had an incorrect part. I have submitted an inquiry to Innovative Marine and I am hopeful to hear back soon. I'll post pictures in case anyone can tell me I'm just dumb and messed something up, LOL.

Everything packaged up:

Stand Part which doesn't fit (part d) in between parts C and C1:

Okay guys, good news: I am dumb, and a smart IM tech support gentleman named Brian helped me figure it out.

HOWEVER: In my order from BRS was some carbon to be ran in a reactor. The carbon exploded in transit and carbon bits got into the packaging of my MP10, Radion and Bubble Magus doser. The doser and MP10 were unaffected but the radion has bits of carbon all up in the fan and I'm not interested in seeing if it fails due to this.

Here it is mostly set up...still have some things to unpack tomorrow. 20170922_205823.jpg

Thanks for following along in my fun journey :)

Okay, so I got the tank wet today. Still need to install my protein skimmer and my reactor this week. Also, I need to set up my doser.

Seascape, which I'm actually pleased with:
