Hello! I bought a replacement return pump, as the stock one has started making more noise than I'm happy with and I'd like a little more flow.

I unpackaged the Sicce and noticed that the two return nozzle options are much larger than the return hoses in my tank. What's the best way to adapt this? I've seen a lot of people with this tank have used the Sicce pump but nobody mentions how.

Thanks in advance!

I've been tempted myself to make the jump to the sicce but have heard it's a super tight fit.

The fit seems about the same as stock pump. I still need some feedback on how people running this setup have connected the pump to their return plumbing.

Get a insert. Y Fitting - 3/4 inch Insert x 1/2 inch Insert x 1/2 inch Insert.

What size is currently on your tank for the return? Is it soft or hard pluming? What size is the outlet on the return pump? Sort of going through the same thing, have a mag 7 that i was going to be hooking up to my tank and hard plumbed everything to fit and then i dont like the mag 7 (too loud) so i am returning for a different pump and will no doubt be a different size outlet than what i already have plumbed in place.

The IM 40 uses 1/2 inch soft tubing. The easy solution when upgrading to the sicce 2.o, which uses a 3/4 outlet, is use 3/4 soft tubing to a 3/4 inch Insert x 1/2 inch Insert x 1/2 inch Insert.

All I did was get a pvc bushing at Lowe's that screws into the female opening of the sicce pump and then used the barb fitting that came with the IM pump and screwed that into the bushing. You will have to trim down the return tube before the Y because the sicce pump sits higher.
