Hi,
Learning to shoot some better photography of my new build. Purchased a tiffen filter and have a 50mm macro lens on our fuji DSLR camera.

Im not a photographer by trade and just starting I do not know many terms...

Wondering if anyone knows the specs needed to upload to R2R?

I have this same problem. I just take a screenshot of my photo and then upload that. The quality sucks but at least I get my photo posted.

Looking at other people's amazing pictures makes me think that there must be a better way.

I use Flickr to host my pics, then you can post a link in your post which shows up as a Full size image. It's free up to I think 1000 pics (I've had to go "PRO" when I pushed over that limit after about 5 yrs). Works really well. Also allows for someone to click on the pic in the post and it will take them to your post on Flickr where you can zoom in, and see all the data on the shot. Example

They also have a pretty good free App that lets you show off your shots without killing the memory on you phone ;). Maybe I'll make a thread on how to use Flikr, might be a good "sticky"

Thank you for this. I am going to try this with Google Photos and if that does not work then I guess I will set up a Flicker account. Thanks again.

What Tiffen filter did you get? I ended up trying like 5 before I found one I liked.

I got the... i think its AB50? its orange. Though I have found that a yellow filter works best on daylight and the orange best when the blues are on.

Still havent had much luck getting close to yall's photographs. Though these are raw and not edited. Do you do any post editing?

I use Adobe LightRoom for post processing. Usually to crop and do some fine tuning on color. also helps to take some of the glare out from LED's.

Haha, success! I just added a photo to a post with a link to Google photos. You would think that this is my first day on the internet.

I normally resize my pics to 1280x800 and just upload them here. Larger pics will still load bit no real difference viewer can see and makes a page with many pictures to heavy to load everytime for those on slower Internet.
