Imbalanced calcium and starting calcium reactor

so i am dealing with an imbalance in calcium. In april my calcium was 680 and now it 450. So i have not been dosing calcium the whole time and i am dosing 300ml of alk daily. I am using fauna marin balling. I am worried if i start my calcium reactor the calcium will skyrocket with my alk demand. My alk is 7.8. My mag is 1400. Sps dominant system. Looking for advice. Thanks

Water changes are your best friend. You didn't state the size of your tank but you are going to want to do larger than normal water changes to re-balance your levels. Be patient you can get them all back in line and life will be good

Once you start your carx and get it tuned it will hold your levels.
My 120 runs 7.7.3 alk
Ca 470 mag 1400.
My carx has held those levels for the 6 months its been running.
Should not be an issue at all imo.

Assuming you stop dosing alkalinity separately, I don't think there's a concern.

Despite many reefers claiming otherwise, it is highly unlikely your demand is skewed very much at all from 1:1, unless you use a sulfur denitrator or are dosing nitrate in large amounts.
