I'm having a heck of a time with this GHA. Snails, hermits, emeralds, pithos, urchins will not tuch it. I'm manually pulling it 2 to 3 times a week. Keeping it as short as realistically possible. 75g with 7 fish. Tank has been running 1.5 years. I'm feeding about 1 cube a day. No3 is 5.2 and p04 is .07. Any suggestions?

Your PO4 is 0.07 AFTER your GHA has eaten.

You need to list everything you add to your tank and test each thing individually fir it's PO4 content

Following as I'm having some GHA (I think) pockets pop up and your nutrient levels look good to me.

My algae doesn't look as coarse/rigid as yours so waiting if someone diagnosis this differently.

Try adding a pouch of chemipure elite and dosing live phyto.

Correct, I don't know how to put anything less in though. I feel that is an adequate amount to feed. I have discontinued adding phyto, amino, nori and reduced feeding to one cubes worth of diy frozen food about a month ago. I was feeding 1.5 cubes when I had 3 more cardinals but the alpha decided to go Highlander on them. I dont think that my nutrients are high. I understand these numberse are whats left on the plate after the tank uses it. Im hesitant to go lower than this and risk relapsing dinos. In any rate. My main intent is to understand why is nothing eating it? I have a stary blenny, foxface, and tomini along with turbos, astrea, trocus, hermits, emeralds, pithos, and 2 urchis. Nothing touches it. They all pick at the rocks all day. The urchins appear to only be eating the coraline algae. What's up with this gha that nothing touches it?

I feel you on the CUC "not touching it".
My urchin steps around it gently so as to not disturb it and the turbo snails find other places to bulldozer over.

I like that you put a microscope pic for identification -- I know nothing but yours looks more "bristly" than what I have

I don't know if phyto is something I want to be adding at the moment. I was dosing alot quite a bit of it while battling dinos. It for sure was spiking my p04. It was desired at that time but I don't know if it would be now.

I dose 80proof Vodka in the AM... and ISO phyto at night.

Everything and anything that goes in my tank from food to additives gets tested fir effects on PO4 levels
