I just did an expensive impulse buy from DFS. I am having a little buyers remorse. Its a cool looking acro though. Let me know what you guys think.

I always do impulse buys especially with coral. This was a $399 impulse buy.

The product listing was:

Aussie Tabling Acropora Coral (Acropora microclados)
Size: 5-1/2"
Australian red polyp, green tabling Acropora coral.

$399.99

I like it alot. Make sure you QT it and check for AEFW's. Nice coral for sure!

Sweet!

Nothing wrong with an impulse buy ..

You idiot.............. Is what I wouldn't be saying about that impulse buy. Good score, and a sweet piece even if it doesn't gain/change color at all but I think it will color up quite nicely :)

I wondering who got that blue piece, anyone have the original pic? I missed it, wonder what acropora sp. it is.

Nice buy though, isn't a. Microclados the same specie as the strawberry shortcake?

Nice score!! Check it good for crabs, don't be killing them in the dip :) I had a mariculture not to long ago in QT for 3 days staring at it with a magnifying glass and when I finally dipped it an acro crab was the only thing I killed.....drat to that

Yeah I have had that happen more then once, definitely a bummer!

Thanks a lot guys for making my buyer's remorse slowly diminish :)

When shopping on DFS you have to buy a new coral very fast or else someone could get it first. So I was in full-throttle-rush-impulse-buying-mode for this one. After I purchased it I asked myself "what just happened?"

I have browsed all over the internet buying rare sps for a little while now and I have not seen an acro that looks quite like this one. This one caught my eye because it has red polyps and a shaded lime to dark green corallite coloration. Very excited to get it and see it in person. I assure you that I will definitely take a lot of pictures when it arrives.
