Impulse buy mini maxi

So i went to my LFS to get snails.... They had none that I needed so I looked around because they had sales. I ended up buying a mini maxi nem and i love it! As for care they said i should feed him brine twice a month. Any other help or tips for care would be much appreciated!

I got a maxie 4 months ago. It went under a ledge. I has been there since. I haven't feed it anything, and it has no direct light. Yet, it is bigger than it was when I got it.

He's very very very sticky which i hear is good! But he has a white ring between the green and purple is that ok? Or was he beginning to bleach?

Not bleaching. That's the beauty of the maxie. Mine is purple with white outer edge.

i had one for a couple months i just feed him peices of raw shrimp from store. i traded him in cause i beleave he killed my blenny there sticky and have a strong sting. my blenny was to careless and was eating algea and landed on it . they are colorful thou

That one is a beauty! I've got a maxi mini and they don't really need much care. Just your standard water maintenance will be enough for them and the occasional feeding. Once they find a spot they won't move, mines been in the same spot since I got it 9-10 months ago and has doubled in size.

Long as your params are halfway decent at least, and you do not try to get it to stay in one place, it should be fine as GH said prior. Awesome!

Beautiful mini maxi I love these anemones.

I bought 2 in 2015, they have lived through two cycling tanks. Out of all the corals and inverts I have had over decades mini maxi rank right up with palys and mushroom for their ability to survive.

I need to find some blue and white ones.

So my mini is on the move lol so far it has moved about 5 inches and he's headed towards a cave [emoji15]

This is how indestructible they are. When my tank was at it's worst one of my mini's starting moving about. It climbed the back wall, over and into the sump area of the tank, I meant to move it back but life happens. He was back there for probably a month, very little light very little food. The mini lost a little coloration, I moved it back last week and since then the mini is making a fast come back.

Let's hope it doesn't. Mine went to the cave day 2 and hasn't come out. Every now and then, it gets poke by the serpent but it won't budge.

I feed mine once a week a piece of krill. They do some funny things too like all anemones.
